Each bulb has a soft-white LED bulb (60-watt equivalent) and it doubles as a standard light source as well as the reliable emergency light. Keep it in daily use for best preparedness:
Before first use, let the bulb been on for 12 hours to fully charge. Then leave the bulb in a socket of a lamp in daily use, to ensure the best results during a black out (i.e.: Put the bulbs in your most used areas of your house). The bulb will be “at the ready” when the power goes out.
The bulb installs by just twisting into your light socket (it will fit most lamp sockets of today, as it has a standard A 70/A21 type and has a E26 base).
When powered, the lamp shines (in “high mode”) a brilliant 850 lumens. In the event of an outage, switch to the Backup Mode and choose between Backup High, Medium, or Low, providing 500, 185, or 80 lumens respectively.
This energy-efficient bulb uses only 8 watts, making it a perfect replacement for your 60-Watt incandescent or even CFL bulbs and costing only pennies to run.
